ABOUT

An Introduction about Me!
Grace is a performer from Mason, Ohio (born and raised!), and she is currently a rising senior at
Wright State University, pursuing a B.F.A. in Acting with a Musical Theatre Emphasis. She first fell in love with the art of performing/creating when she did a middle school theatre camp at the age of 10, and she has loved performing ever since! She likes to consider herself a triple threat, since most of her favorite shows she's been in are shows involving dance (most recently, Chicago at TheatreLab Dayton, where she played Liz/Ensemble and understudied the role of Velma Kelly!). She also tries to market herself as a versatile performer, playing roles such as Hope Cladwell in Urinetown and Lady Larken in Once Upon a Mattress, and also roles such as the Red Cross Nurse/Queen of Hearts in Sheik & Sater's Alice by Heart at Wright State this past spring. Outside of performing on the stage, Grace thoroughly enjoys directing and choreographing, having co-student directed [title of show] in Wright State's Jubilee Directing Lab (in addition to playing WSU alum Susan Blackwell!). From a choreographer's standpoint, Goodwin recently produced a Bob Fosse cabaret in the DLab to celebrate his influence on musical theatre, whether it was setting the original Fosse choreography or choreographing a piece in the style of Fosse's work.

Off the Stage
Outside of performing onstage, Grace enjoys some relaxing hobbies that include separate art forms. Grace really enjoys reading (mostly romance, but she additionally enjoys the classic immensely like Little Women; she says Jo March is one of the fictional characters she relates to probably the most), and enjoys ordering Paint By Numbers kits online to paint and relax (coloring and painting are very therapeutic to her). She also tries to move her body in some way every day to help her body and mind; most recently, it's been pilates/yoga and trips to her local Planet Fitness but she makes an effort to find some kind of movement, as long as she'll enjoy it. In addition, she's really been getting into cooking lately, finding new recipes she hasn't tried making yet.
